Anode-Supported Cell
Anode‑supported cells (ASC) is the core functional component for constructing Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) stacks, which uses the anode material as the main structural support of the cell unit. The cell unit is fabricated according to functional requirements via the stacking sequence of "anode support-functional layer-electrolyte layer-barrier layer-cathode layer".
Leveraging the catalytic activity of its electrodes, SOFC directly converts the chemical energy of various fuel gases (e.g., hydrogen, natural gas, alkanes) into electrical energy through microscopic electrochemical processes, while continuously discharging thermal energy to the external system during power generation. In the power generation sector, SOFC boasts multiple advantages including high power generation efficiency, compact structure, silent operation and zero pollution.
